What is an aim trainer?

An aim trainer measures how quickly and precisely you can move a pointer to a target and click it. It’s a staple warm-up for anyone who relies on mouse control, and a satisfying way to see your accuracy and speed improve over time.

How the Zerdly aim trainer works

In Target Rush, one target appears at a time. The instant you hit it, the next appears somewhere else, and a high-resolution timer records how long each target took. After 30 hits the test ends and shows your accuracy, target times and hits per minute.

Aim speed vs accuracy

Speed and accuracy pull against each other. Click too fast and you miss, dragging your accuracy down; aim too carefully and your hits per minute drop. The best players find a rhythm that keeps both high at once.

Mouse vs touchscreen aiming

On a computer you’re testing mouse precision; on a phone or tablet you’re tapping with a finger. They rely on different movements, so Zerdly treats touch aiming as its own challenge rather than something to compare directly against a mouse.

How accuracy is calculated

Accuracy is hits divided by total clicks, shown as a percentage. A click only counts as a hit if it lands within the target’s visible circle — there are no oversized invisible hitboxes, so your score reflects real precision.

Aim modes and the Daily challenge

Beyond Target Rush there are four more modes: Speed (as many hits as you can in 60 seconds), Precision (50 smaller targets), Rapid (keep three targets down at once) and Tracking (keep your cursor on a moving target). The 🔥 Daily is a fixed 30-target rush — the same for everyone each day — with a local streak. Your best per mode and difficulty stays on your device.

Frequently asked questions

What is an aim trainer?

An aim trainer is a simple game that measures and improves how quickly and accurately you can move your mouse to a target and click it. Zerdly's Target Rush shows one target at a time and times how long each one takes.

How does the Zerdly aim trainer work?

A target appears in the play area; you click it, and the next one appears somewhere else. After 30 targets the test ends and reports your accuracy, average and fastest target time, and hits per minute.

Is aim speed or accuracy more important?

Both matter. Rushing every shot lowers your accuracy, while being too careful lowers your hits per minute. A good result balances the two — fast clicks that still land on target.

Does it work on a phone?

Yes — on a touchscreen you tap the targets instead of clicking. Touch aiming uses different muscles from a mouse, so treat mobile results as their own challenge rather than a direct comparison.

How is accuracy calculated?

Accuracy is the share of your clicks that landed on a target: hits divided by total clicks, as a percentage. A click that misses the target counts against your accuracy but doesn't advance the test.

Are my results saved?

Your best accuracy per difficulty and recent sessions are stored locally on your own device, in your browser. Zerdly never receives your results.
