These Terms of Use (“Terms”) apply to your use of zerdly.com and its calculators, converters, browser utilities, file tools, document builders, Zerdly Interactive, games, puzzles, randomisers, kids and learning content and related website features (together, the “Service”). The Service is operated by Zerdly (a registered business name) (“Zerdly”, “we”, “us” or “our”).
By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Who may use the Service
You may use the Service if you can lawfully do so in your location and you comply with these Terms.
If you are not old enough to enter a binding agreement where you live, a parent or legal guardian should review these Terms and supervise or authorise your use as appropriate.
Zerdly includes areas intended for children and families. Those areas are still subject to these Terms, including the sections about privacy, educational use and parental/guardian responsibility.
2. What Zerdly provides
Zerdly provides browser-based information, calculation, conversion, productivity, file-processing, document-building, entertainment and learning features. The Service may include, among other things:
- calculators and converters;
- engineering, mining, surveying, electrical, construction, financial, health, fitness, food and other technical tools;
- file tools;
- document/report/template builders;
- Zerdly Interactive;
- board/card-style games, puzzles and arcade/casual games;
- word searches, crosswords, jigsaws and knowledge games;
- reaction, aiming, typing and other skill/reflex activities;
- kids games and educational activities, including maths practice;
- randomisers, wheels and selection tools;
- locally saved Tool Bag, settings, progress and game state;
- prompt-building or AI-related utility tools; and
- other features introduced over time.
Zerdly may add, change, redesign, suspend or remove any feature at any time.
3. Browser-first operation and local data
Many Zerdly features are designed to run in your browser and may store settings, game progress, Tool Bag information or other state locally on your device.
Local storage is not a guaranteed backup service. Browser cleanup, private mode, device replacement, storage limits, software changes, errors or use of the “Clear Zerdly data” function may remove local data permanently.
You are responsible for exporting or backing up information where Zerdly provides that option and where the information matters to you.
4. Licence to use the Service
Subject to these Terms, Zerdly gives you a limited, non-exclusive, revocable, non-transferable licence to access and use the Service for lawful personal, educational and ordinary business purposes.
This licence does not transfer ownership of Zerdly’s website, source code, artwork, branding, datasets, editorial content or other intellectual property.
5. Acceptable use
You must not:
- use the Service unlawfully or to facilitate unlawful activity;
- interfere with, disrupt, overload, probe or attack the Service or its infrastructure;
- bypass or attempt to bypass security, rate limits, anti-bot measures or access controls;
- use automated scraping, crawling or extraction in a way that materially burdens the Service, republishes substantial protected content, or builds a competing copy or dataset without permission;
- reverse engineer, copy, reproduce, redistribute or commercially exploit protected Zerdly code, artwork or site content except where law expressly permits it;
- remove or obscure copyright, branding, attribution or legal notices;
- use tools to gain unauthorised access to systems, devices, networks or data;
- upload, import or process content you do not have the right to use;
- use Zerdly to harass, abuse, threaten, defraud or harm another person; or
- misrepresent Zerdly output as professional certification, regulatory approval or an official record when it is not.
Zerdly may use reasonable technical measures to protect the Service from misuse, invalid traffic, scraping, attacks or abuse.
6. Your inputs, files and content
You are responsible for the information, files, images, text, coordinates, custom lists, wheel entries and other content you choose to enter, import, process, export or share through Zerdly.
You must have any rights, permissions or lawful basis needed to use that content.
For local/browser-based tools, Zerdly does not claim ownership of content merely because you process it locally using the Service.
If you create a shareable link, QR code, restore code or export, you are responsible for checking what it contains before sharing it. Do not place confidential, personal or sensitive information in a share mechanism unless you understand who may receive it.
7. Children, families and school use
Zerdly may provide games and educational content suitable for children, families, parents and educators.
Parents, guardians and educators are responsible for deciding whether a particular feature is appropriate for a child and for supervising use where appropriate.
Do not instruct a child to place unnecessary personal information into a Zerdly game, nickname, custom list or learning field.
Zerdly is not a learning management system, school information system or secure student-record repository unless a specific feature expressly says otherwise. Local scores and progress can be useful for practice but should not be treated as permanent or authoritative academic records.
8. Educational content and learning tools
Kids maths, quizzes, word/knowledge activities and other learning features are practice and educational aids. Zerdly does not guarantee that:
- content matches a particular national, state or school curriculum;
- every question, answer, hint or explanation is error-free;
- a score accurately measures a child’s ability;
- completion will produce a particular academic outcome; or
- the Service replaces a teacher, tutor, school assessment or qualified educational professional.
Important educational decisions should use appropriate professional and school-based assessment, not a Zerdly result alone.
9. Games, puzzles, scores and achievements
Games, puzzles, timers, reaction tests, typing tests, aiming games and other Interactive features are provided primarily for entertainment, practice and informal comparison.
Performance can be affected by device hardware, browser performance, screen refresh rate, input lag, network loading, accessibility settings and other technical factors. Scores should not be treated as laboratory-grade, medical, employment, sporting or professional measurements unless a feature expressly states a validated purpose.
Zerdly may change scoring systems, game rules, difficulty, question pools or balancing at any time. Locally saved scores or achievements may be lost.
10. Randomisers, spin wheels and selection tools
Randomisers, spin wheels, shufflers, dice-style tools and similar features are convenience and entertainment tools. Unless a feature expressly states otherwise, they are not certified random-number generators and are not designed for cryptography, regulated gambling, lotteries, legally audited prize draws, security keys or other high-stakes processes requiring independently verifiable randomness.
If you use a Zerdly randomiser for a competition, giveaway, workplace process, classroom activity, selection process or any decision affecting another person, you are responsible for the applicable rules, consent, fairness, permits, records, laws and dispute handling.
Zerdly is not the promoter or operator of a third-party competition merely because someone used a Zerdly tool to make a selection.
11. No real-money gambling service
Zerdly does not provide a real-money gambling, wagering or betting service through ordinary Interactive games.
You must not use the Service in a way that turns Zerdly into an unlawful gambling or wagering mechanism. If you independently use a Zerdly randomiser in connection with money, prizes or a regulated promotion, you are responsible for legal compliance.
12. Professional, regulated and safety-critical tools
Some Zerdly tools relate to engineering, surveying, mining, geospatial work, construction, electrical systems, finance, tax, health, medication calculations, fitness, safety, vehicles, food, chemistry or other technical areas.
These tools are aids for calculation, education, checking and exploration. They do not replace:
- a competent professional;
- manufacturer instructions;
- legislation, standards, codes or approved procedures;
- engineering or professional certification;
- medical diagnosis or treatment;
- legal or financial advice;
- site-specific risk assessment;
- workplace authorisation; or
- independent verification of safety-critical values.
You are responsible for verifying important results before acting on them.
13. Health, medication and emergency use
Zerdly is not a medical service and does not provide diagnosis, treatment or emergency care.
Do not use a Zerdly result as the sole basis for deciding medication dose, injection quantity, treatment, whether to stop or start a medicine, pregnancy/fertility care, emergency response or whether to seek medical attention.
Medication- or dose-related tools are arithmetic/checking aids only. Follow the product label/device instructions and advice of an appropriately qualified doctor, pharmacist or other health professional.
For a medical emergency, use the emergency services available in your location rather than relying on a website tool.
14. Financial, tax and commercial tools
Financial, tax, borrowing, investment, business and pay-related tools provide estimates or calculations based on entered assumptions.
They are not personal financial, tax, credit, accounting or investment advice. Rates, thresholds, laws and market conditions can change. Check current official information and seek a qualified adviser where appropriate.
15. Engineering, mining, surveying, geospatial, electrical and construction tools
Technical tools may simplify formulas, assume ideal conditions or omit site-specific factors.
You must check applicable standards, coordinate systems, datum/projection information, tolerances, design assumptions, equipment calibration, site procedures and professional requirements before using output in real work.
Zerdly output is not a cadastral determination, legal boundary certification, engineering sign-off, electrical certification, mine design approval, survey certification or construction approval.
16. Food, nutrition, fitness and wellbeing tools
Food, recipe, nutrition, fitness and training tools are general aids only.
Zerdly does not guarantee allergen safety, food-safety compliance, safe storage/cooking conditions, nutritional suitability or that a fitness estimate is appropriate for your health or physical condition.
Check ingredient labels, food-safety guidance and professional health advice where relevant.
17. File tools and generated outputs
File tools can be affected by malformed files, unsupported features, browser memory limits, fonts, metadata, encryption, complex PDFs, images or third-party file standards.
Always keep an original backup before processing an important file. Review exported output before relying on it.
Zerdly is not responsible for data loss caused by overwriting, deleting, corrupting or mismanaging files after download or export, except to the extent liability cannot legally be excluded.
18. Document builders, templates and generated text
Zerdly may generate documents, templates, checklists, reports, text or structured output from information you enter.
Generated material is a starting point and may require editing, factual checking, professional review, approval, signatures, evidence or project-specific information.
A Zerdly-generated document is not automatically legally compliant, legally binding, professionally certified or suitable for a regulated purpose.
19. AI-related and prompt-building tools
Zerdly may provide tools that help users create prompts or text for use with external AI services.
Unless a feature clearly says it connects to an AI provider, a prompt-building tool should not be assumed to submit the prompt to an external model.
If you copy content into a third-party AI service, that service’s terms and privacy policy apply. You are responsible for checking output for accuracy, originality, intellectual-property issues and suitability.
20. Separate professional or web-design services
Information on Zerdly about web design or another separately quoted professional service does not by itself create a service contract.
If Zerdly provides a separately quoted service to a client, the quote, proposal, statement of work, invoice, contract or other specific agreement for that service will apply in addition to or instead of these general website Terms to the extent stated in that agreement.
21. Advertising, sponsorships and affiliate links
Zerdly may display advertising, sponsored content or affiliate links.
Advertisers and external merchants are independent third parties. Zerdly does not guarantee their products, services, pricing, availability, claims, privacy practices or fulfilment.
Where Zerdly receives advertising or affiliate revenue, that commercial relationship does not change your responsibility to assess the third-party offer yourself.
22. Third-party services and links
The Service relies on third-party infrastructure and may link to third-party websites, software, standards, references or services.
Zerdly is not responsible for an independent third party’s content, availability, security, terms, privacy practices or changes.
Your use of a third-party service is governed by that third party’s terms.
23. Intellectual property
The Zerdly name, logo, visual identity, original artwork, site design, editorial content, original datasets, compilation of tools and original software are owned by or licensed to the operator and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.
You may use ordinary tool output for your own lawful personal, study or business purposes, subject to any third-party rights that apply to source material you supplied.
You may not reproduce substantial parts of Zerdly, clone the Service, republish protected content, resell access, or use Zerdly branding in a way that suggests endorsement or affiliation without permission.
24. Availability and changes
The Service is provided over the internet and may occasionally be unavailable because of maintenance, deployment, provider outages, attacks, browser incompatibility or other events.
Zerdly does not guarantee uninterrupted availability, continued availability of a particular tool, or preservation of any local data.
Features, formulas, datasets, artwork, question pools, game rules and interfaces may be corrected or updated without notice.
25. Security and compatibility
You are responsible for using a supported, reasonably secure browser/device and for keeping your own device and data protected.
Zerdly cannot guarantee compatibility with every browser, extension, device, accessibility configuration or operating system.
Do not attempt to bypass Zerdly’s security or anti-abuse systems.
26. Service provided “as is” and “as available”
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.
Zerdly aims to provide useful and accurate tools but does not guarantee that the Service will always be complete, current, error-free, uninterrupted, secure, compatible with every device, or fit for a particular purpose.
You remain responsible for checking whether a tool and its assumptions are appropriate for your use.
27. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Zerdly and the operator are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss arising from or connected with use of, inability to use, or reliance on the Service, including loss of profit, opportunity, business, production, data, files, local game progress or other consequential loss.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Zerdly is also not responsible for loss caused by incorrect user inputs, misuse, failure to independently verify an important result, third-party services, browser/device problems, corrupted files, external links or use of a tool outside its stated purpose.
Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right, remedy or other protection that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted or modified under the Australian Consumer Law or any other applicable law.
28. Responsibility for consequential use
If you use a Zerdly output to make or support a decision affecting another person, property, safety, money, employment, education, legal rights, health or regulatory compliance, you are responsible for ensuring the decision is lawful, fair, appropriately reviewed and supported by suitable evidence or professional judgement.
Zerdly is not a party to a decision merely because its tool was used as one input.
29. Suspension or blocking
Zerdly may restrict, challenge, rate-limit or block access where reasonably necessary to protect the Service, users or infrastructure, investigate abuse, comply with law or enforce these Terms.
30. Privacy
Zerdly’s Privacy Policy explains how information is handled and forms part of the framework governing use of the Service.
31. Changes to these Terms
Zerdly may update these Terms when the Service, legal requirements or business practices change.
The latest version will be published on this page with a new “Last updated” date. Your continued use after an update means the updated Terms apply to future use, subject to any rights that cannot legally be altered in that way.
32. Severability and no waiver
If a provision of these Terms is found invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.
A failure by Zerdly to enforce a provision on one occasion does not waive the right to enforce it later.
33. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Western Australia and applicable Commonwealth laws of Australia.
Subject to any mandatory rights you have in another jurisdiction, disputes may be brought before courts and tribunals with jurisdiction in Western Australia.
Nothing in this clause removes any mandatory consumer, privacy or other rights that apply to you where they cannot lawfully be excluded.
