Tents and Trees
A campsite logic puzzle. Every tree needs its own tent right next to it, tents keep their distance from each other, and the numbers on the edges say how many tents each row and column holds.

Pitch one tent beside each tree. The numbers say how many tents are in each row and column.

Solved on this device: 0 of 12. Every board has exactly one tent layout, checked by a solver.
Controls
- Tap a cell to cycle empty, tent and grass. Grass is just your note that a cell is empty.
- With the keyboard, move with the arrow keys; T places a tent, G (or full stop) marks grass, Backspace clears, Space or Enter cycles.
- Check lists any broken rule; Hint explains one deduction and Apply hint carries it out; Undo and Reset are always available.
The rules
- Each tree is paired with exactly one tent directly above, below, left or right of it, and each tent with exactly one tree.
- A tent may sit next to two trees, as long as every tree can still have a tent of its own.
- Tents never touch, not even at a corner, and the row and column numbers count tents exactly.
Scoring, saving and limits
A board is solved when all the rules hold — the game checks the rules themselves rather than comparing with a stored answer. Using a hint that reveals a tent marks the run as assisted.
Your marks, undo history and solved boards are kept on this device only. Download a backup to move them.
Twelve boards, each checked by a solver to have exactly one tent layout. Hints first look for a one-step reason; if there is none they say so and reveal a tent.
Questions
- Can a tent be next to two trees?
- Yes. What matters is that the tents and trees can be paired off one-to-one, each pair side by side.
- Is there only one answer?
- Yes, for where the tents go. Sometimes the pairing of tents to trees could be done two ways, but the tent positions are the same, and that counts as one answer.
- What does grass do?
- Nothing to the rules — it is a note for cells you have ruled out, which makes the remaining choices easier to see.
