Kids Maths and your child’s privacy
Written for parents, carers, teachers and older learners. It describes what actually happens, including the parts most sites leave out.
What we never ask for
Zerdly Maths needs no account. We never ask a child for their name, email address, date of birth, age, school, phone number, address or photo, and we never ask for access to a camera, microphone or location.
Where the maths happens
Every question is created inside your browser, and every answer is marked inside your browser. Answers are not sent anywhere to be checked. There is no server that sees what your child typed, because there is no server involved in the learning at all.
What is stored right now
Nothing. In this version, a practice session lives only in the open tab. Close it or refresh, and it is gone — there is no saved history, no profile and no progress file on the device.
Saving progress is planned, and when it arrives it will be a clear choice you make rather than something switched on quietly. It will store on the device only, and you will be able to see exactly what is held and delete it.
The part other sites leave out
We cannot honestly say this page reaches you without any data moving. Loading any website means your device asks a server for the files, and the companies that host and protect zerdly.com may record ordinary technical details of that request — such as an IP address, the type of browser and the time — to deliver the site and keep it secure. That happens for any website you visit, and it is separate from anything your child does inside the activity.
So the accurate claim is: no account, and learning data stays on your device. Not “no data of any kind exists anywhere”.
Counting visits
Like every other page on zerdly.com, these pages count page views using Vercel Web Analytics. A small script from va.vercel-scripts.com loads and records that a page was viewed.
It sets no cookie and stores nothing on the device. It has no access to the questions, the answers, how your child performed, or anything they typed — none of that ever leaves the browser. It tells us how many people opened a page, not who they are or what they did on it.
We mention it because a privacy page for a children’s product that quietly left out a third-party script would not be an honest one.
Advertising
Zerdly does not show advertising on Kids Maths today. Advertising is planned for the Interactive section in future, and where it appears alongside children’s activities it will be restricted to child-appropriate advertising. This page will be updated before that happens, and it will say plainly what is shown and what any advertising partner can see.
What this is, and is not
Zerdly Maths is practice, not assessment. The difficulty of questions adjusts to how a session is going, and it may suggest what to work on next, but it does not measure ability, diagnose a learning difficulty, or report a formal grade level. Please do not treat anything here as an educational or clinical assessment.
School levels shown anywhere in Zerdly Maths are a guide only. They indicate where a topic is usually taught in a given country and are not taken from, aligned to, or endorsed by any curriculum authority.
