Web Design Service Terms

1. Who these terms are for

These terms cover website design and build work by Zerdly Web Design. They do not apply to Zerdly's free online tools, which have their own terms of use.

We currently work with clients who live in Australia. You do not need to be an Australian citizen or permanent resident.

2. Your quote sets the scope

Our packages are Starter (up to 3 pages, A$899), Small Business (up to 6 pages, A$1,199), Business Plus (up to 12 pages, A$1,799). Extra standard pages are A$165 each. Prices in Australian dollars. Zerdly is not registered for GST, so no GST is added.

Before any work starts we send you a written quote listing the pages, features, connections and price. Your brief and any estimate on our website are a starting point only - the written quote you accept is what we build.

Anything outside the accepted quote is quoted separately and only started after you approve it in writing.

3. Payments

50% of the quoted price is due once you accept the quote and we confirm your booking. The remaining 50% is due before your website goes live and is handed over.

Domain names, email, hosting, stock images and other third-party subscriptions or transaction fees are separate from our fee. We list them in your quote, and you pay the providers directly unless we agree otherwise.

We invoice by bank transfer. We may also offer a hosted card-payment link.

4. Changing your mind

If you cancel before we start designing your website, we refund your deposit in full.

If you cancel after design work has started, we keep the deposit to cover the work already done, and you owe nothing further.

Once the final payment has been made, it is not refundable, except where the law requires.

If we have to cancel your project, we refund everything you have paid for work we have not delivered.

5. Revisions

Your package includes two rounds of revisions. In each round, send all your changes together in one message, and we update the website.

Further rounds, or changes that go beyond the accepted scope, are quoted before we do them.

6. Your content

You supply your logo, wording and images, and you confirm you have the right to use them on your website. We place them and lightly edit wording; full copywriting is quoted separately.

Delays in receiving content can move your launch date. We agree a delivery schedule once your deposit and the required content are received.

7. Ownership and handover

When the final payment is made, ownership of the website passes to you. We set it up on a hosting account in your name, connect your domain, and give you the source files (a copy of the code repository or a download).

We may show your website in our portfolio, with your permission.

8. Support and updates

For 30 days after launch we fix problems with the website we built, at no charge.

After that, updates are quoted at A$110 per hour with a one-hour minimum, and agreed with you before any work starts. Ongoing SEO and content updates are not included in a package.

We set up search-engine basics properly, but we cannot guarantee rankings or traffic.

9. Your consumer rights

Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. Nothing in these terms - including the 30-day support period - limits those rights.
