Chore Chart Builder

List the people in the house and the chores, how often each is done and who does it. The chart gives daily chores a tick box for each day and weekly chores one box for the week, with a dash where nothing is due.

Turn on rotation and chores without a name move on one person each week, so nobody keeps the same job. Points are optional: the totals count only the chores marked complete in the points log.

How to use the Chore Chart Builder

  1. Choose a template: a week grid, one section per person with notes, or a large landscape chart with big pictures.
  2. Add the people, the first day of the chart and how many weeks to print.
  3. Add chores with how often they are done, an optional picture and points, and a name if the chore always belongs to one person.
  4. Turn on rotation to share the unnamed chores out week by week.
  5. Optionally add rewards and a points log of chores done, ticking the ones that are complete.
  6. Choose Create document, check the pages, then download the PDF. The CSV download lists every chore on every due day with the person.

Example

Two weeks for Mia, Noah and Charlotte-Rose: making beds and setting the table rotate daily, Mia always feeds the dog, the bins move on each Monday, and Mia's two completed dog feeds give her 4 points and the movie reward.

What it does not do

  • Pictures come from a small set of plain shapes, each named on the chart. You cannot upload your own pictures.
  • Points are added up from the log you enter. The chart does not track chores after it is printed.
  • It prints up to four weeks at a time.
  • Up to 250 pages and 500 entries in any list.
