Cleaning Schedule Builder

List your rooms, your cleaning tasks and how often each one is done. The builder prints a checklist for each room with a tick box on every day or week a task is due, and a dash where it is not.

Give a task an owner, or leave it empty to share it: shared tasks rotate through the people in the household one place each week, counted from the start date, so the rota carries straight on across the end of a month.

How to use the Cleaning Schedule Builder

  1. Choose a template: a compact checklist, a checklist with a notes column, or a large landscape sheet for the fridge.
  2. Choose the sheet: tick each day, tick each week, or a rota with a name in each week.
  3. Enter the start date, how many weeks to print, your rooms and the people sharing the work.
  4. Add tasks with a room, how often, and the first date each is due. Leave the owner empty for tasks that rotate.
  5. To give one date to a particular person, add an assignment.
  6. Choose Create document, check the pages, then download the PDF. The CSV download lists every due date and who does it.

Example

Two weeks from Monday 23 November for Alex, Jordan and Sam: benches wiped daily, the shower weekly on a rota that moves on each Monday into December, and the fridge on the 28th of the month.

What it does not do

  • It gives no product, chemical or method instructions, and it will not print a task that tells someone to mix cleaning products.
  • Tick boxes print empty unless you choose to show tasks marked complete.
  • It does not send reminders or track who has done what after printing.
  • Up to 250 pages and 500 entries in any list.
