Garden Planner and Growing Journal Builder
Enter each bed's width and length, then place your plants by how far across and down the bed they sit, with the spacing you want. Every bed is drawn to a standard scale such as 1:20, with a scale bar, so a ruler on the printout matches the garden.
Add the dates you planted and how many, and journal notes with photos. The journal is grouped by season from your own dates. Nothing is looked up: there is no weather, frost date or spray advice, only what you enter.

How to use the Garden Planner and Growing Journal Builder
- Pick a layout: Board-led overview (a page per bed with a large diagram), Sequential cards (a card per plant) or Annotated overview (landscape, the diagram beside numbered notes).
- Choose the units for plant positions and spacing, then add your beds with their width, length and unit.
- Add plants: choose the bed, then how far across (from the left edge) and down (from the top edge) the plant sits, and its spacing.
- Add planting records and journal entries. Upload photos and tick them on a journal entry.
- Choose Create document, check the diagrams and any plant flagged as outside its bed, then download the PDF or a PNG of each page.
Example
A garden book on A4 for a 2.4 × 1.2 m vegetable bed and a 90 × 45 cm herb planter: each bed drawn to scale with 9 numbered plants and their spacing circles, a plant and seed list with 6 planting records, and a journal across spring and summer.
What it does not do
- No climate, frost, planting-calendar, pest or spray advice; the book prints only what you enter.
- A plant placed outside its bed is listed and flagged, not drawn.
- Beds are rectangles. Positions are measured from the bed's top-left corner.
- Seasons are named from your dates and the hemisphere you choose.
- PDF, PNG and project file only.
- Up to 250 pages and 500 entries in any list.
