Moving House Planner Builder

Enter your moving day, your tasks and when each is due. The plan groups them by how long before the move they fall, from eight weeks out to after you arrive, and anything past its date stays on the plan marked overdue.

List your boxes with a number, room and contents to get an inventory, a move-day pack of the boxes to open first, and a label for each box with the room in big letters. The address-change checklist is yours to work through: the builder does not contact anyone.

How to use the Moving House Planner Builder

  1. Choose a template: a compact plan, a plan with a notes column, or large print with two big labels a page.
  2. Enter your moving day, and optionally the date you are checking the plan so late tasks are marked overdue.
  3. Add tasks with a due date and who is doing them. Tick the ones already done.
  4. Add your rooms, then each box with its own number, room, contents and whether to open it first.
  5. Add the people and services to tell about your new address. Mark a contact private to keep its phone and email off the print.
  6. Choose Create document, check the pages, then download the PDF. The CSV download is the box inventory.

Example

A move on Saturday 12 December 2026, checked 12 days before: packing and the new electricity account are marked overdue, seven boxes print with labels, and three open-first boxes make up the move-day pack.

What it does not do

  • It does not send notices to landlords, utilities or anyone else, and it does not write letters or fill in forms.
  • It does not suggest tasks or deadlines. The plan holds only what you enter.
  • Each box number must be different; the builder refuses to print two boxes with the same number.
  • Up to 250 pages and 500 entries in any list.
