Perspective Paths

Guide a small traveller across floating architecture. Turn the view until two matching marks line up, and the gap between them becomes a path.

Ringed platforms let you turn the view; crossed ones do not. A bridge mark (◆ ▲ ● …) glows and is labelled when its two ends line up.

About Perspective Paths

Perspective Paths is a puzzle about viewpoints. The diorama is drawn in a fixed isometric view, so platforms at different heights and depths can meet on screen. When the two ends of a bridge sit on exactly the same spot in the current view, the traveller can step from one to the other. Turn the view and that bridge is gone - and another may appear.

Every connection is part of the level's graph and is checked by a solver before the level ships: each bridge lines up in exactly one of the four views, every level is solvable, and the star rating compares your moves with the proven fewest. Nothing on screen that looks like a path is decoration only: if two blocks look joined, they are.

The 24 levels teach turning the view first, then bridges, then platforms where the view cannot turn, then keys that open gates. Later levels have side branches that lead nowhere and up to three keys to collect.

How to play

  1. Tap a highlighted platform (or choose it in Paths from here) to walk or cross to it.
  2. Use Turn left and Turn right to rotate the diorama a quarter-turn. You can only turn while standing on a ringed platform.
  3. A bridge is two platforms with the same mark (◆, ▲, ● and others). When they line up the mark glows and is labelled (for example ◆ lined up); cross it.
  4. Collect every key (they open gates of the same colour), then reach the gold Goal.

Controls

  • Turn left and Turn right buttons, or Q and E with the diorama focused. A sideways swipe on the diorama also turns it.
  • Tap a platform, or use the Paths from here list. With the diorama focused, the arrow keys choose a path and Enter goes.
  • Undo (or Ctrl+Z) steps back one move, including keys and the view. Restart (or R) returns to the start.
  • Levels opens all 24 levels; Daily opens today's level (by UTC date).

The rules

  • A bridge can be crossed only in the one view where its two ends line up. Nothing moves while the view is turning.
  • The view turns only on ringed platforms; crossed platforms keep the view as it is.
  • Keys are collected by stepping on them and kept for the level. A gate needs its key. The level is complete at the Goal with every key.
  • Every walk and every quarter-turn counts as one move. Turning twice is two moves.

Scoring, saving and limits

Three stars for the fewest possible moves (the number shown as best possible), two stars within three moves of it, one star for any finish. Hints, Show solution and Inspect mark the attempt assisted; assisted finishes do not set a best. In the daily level, Undo also marks it assisted.

Your position, undo history and best results are saved in this browser after every move. Download a backup to keep them or move them to another device; an imported backup is checked first and cannot place you somewhere the level could not reach. Copy challenge link shares the level and your move count, never your save. Nothing is uploaded.

The 3D view needs WebGL 2. Without it, the Paths from here list and the turn buttons still play every level. Up to 200 undo steps are kept.

Accessibility

Every move can be made from the Paths from here list, which names each path's direction on screen and why a closed one is closed, and every action has a keyboard shortcut. Platform kinds are shown by shape as well as colour (rings, crosses, distinct bridge marks and key shapes). With reduced motion set, turns and moves happen without animation.

Questions

Why can I not cross a bridge I can see?
Its two ends only meet on screen in one of the four views. Turn the view until the mark glows and its lined up label appears. If the path list says Locked, collect the key of that colour first.
Why will the view not turn?
You are on a platform marked with a cross. Walk to a ringed platform, then turn.
Are the levels really solvable in the shown number of moves?
Yes. A breadth-first search over every platform, view and key combination proves the fewest moves for each level, and the stored solution is replayed under the same rules in automated tests.
