How it works
Weight per sheet = gsm × area in m². A4 (210 × 297 mm) is about 0.0624 m², so 80 gsm ≈ 5 g.
Worked example
80 gsm A4. ≈ 5 g per sheet (about 2.5 kg per 500-sheet ream).
