How to use this calculator
- Enter a latitude and longitude in DD, DMS or DDM.
- Press Convert.
- If a value is out of range you'll get a clear error; otherwise it's shown cleanly in all formats.
How it works
Checks that a coordinate is valid — latitude within ±90°, longitude within ±180° — and reformats it consistently across DD, DMS and DDM.
Worked example
Valid check. −31.95, 115.86 is valid; a latitude of 95° would be flagged as out of range.
Frequently asked questions
