Line Sorter & Deduplicator
Sorts, reverses, trims and removes duplicate lines from a block of text.
Runs entirely in your browser — nothing is uploaded or stored.
How to use this calculator
- Paste one item per line.
- Press Sort, Remove duplicates, Reverse or Trim.
How it works
Treats each line as an item, then sorts alphabetically, removes duplicate lines, reverses the order or trims surrounding spaces — whichever you choose.
Common mistakes
- Forgetting that sorting is case-sensitive by default — ‘Apple’ and ‘apple’ may not group together.
- Removing duplicates before trimming whitespace, so near-identical lines survive.
Frequently asked questions
What can this tool do with a list?
Sort lines alphabetically or numerically, reverse them, and remove duplicate lines — useful for cleaning up exports and word lists.
Is my list uploaded?
No — all sorting and de-duplication happen in your browser, so your data stays private.
Is the duplicate check case-sensitive?
Yes — 'Apple' and 'apple' count as different lines. Convert the case first (with the case converter) if you want them treated as the same.
