How it works
Linear misclose = √(ΣΔE² + ΣΔN²). For a closed traverse the sums should be near zero; the result shows how far the traverse fails to close.
Worked example
ΣΔE 0.04, ΣΔN −0.03. Misclose 0.05 m.
