Play free online jigsaw puzzles with real interlocking pieces. Pick a piece count, drag pieces together until they snap, and zoom and pan around the board as you build the picture. Everything is generated and solved in your browser — nothing to install and no account.

How online jigsaw puzzles work

The picture is cut into pieces with proper tabs and blanks, then scattered across the board. Drag a piece next to the neighbour it belongs beside; when they line up they snap together and move as one group from then on. Keep joining pieces until the whole picture is a single connected group.

Choosing a piece count

Fewer pieces make a quick, relaxing puzzle; more pieces make a longer challenge. Twelve to twenty-four is a gentle warm-up, forty-eight to eighty is a solid sit-down puzzle, and a hundred-plus is for when you want to take your time. Larger counts suit a bigger screen, but zoom and pan keep even big puzzles comfortable on a phone.

Moving, zooming and panning

Drag any piece to move it, and connected pieces travel together. Drag the empty background to slide the whole board around, and use the mouse wheel or the −, Fit and + buttons to zoom. Fit re-frames the entire puzzle so you can find stray pieces.

Daily jigsaw and your own photos

Switch to Daily for one puzzle that is the same for everyone that day, with a local streak for coming back. Or tap “Your photo” to turn any picture into a private jigsaw — it is resized and cut into pieces right on your device and never uploaded. The built-in pictures are drawn from a seed as detailed geometric, mosaic and space designs, because busy images with texture everywhere make the best jigsaws. Your progress auto-saves, so you can close the tab and pick up where you left off.

Tips for solving jigsaw puzzles

Group the edge pieces first to build the frame, then work in patches of similar colour or pattern. Zoom in to compare tab shapes when two pieces look close, and use Fit whenever you lose track of a piece.

Frequently asked questions

How do online jigsaw puzzles work?

Zerdly cuts a picture into interlocking pieces that scatter across the board. Drag a piece toward the neighbour it belongs next to and, when it lines up, the two snap together and lock into a group. Connect every piece into a single group to finish the puzzle.

How many pieces should I choose?

Start with 12–24 pieces for a quick, relaxing puzzle, 48–80 for a satisfying challenge, and 120+ when you want to really sink in. Bigger counts are best on a larger screen; you can always zoom and pan on a phone.

How do I move around the board?

Drag a piece to move it (a connected group moves together). Drag the empty background to pan the board, and scroll the mouse wheel or use the −, Fit and + buttons to zoom in and out.

Can I make a jigsaw from my own photo?

Yes. Tap “Your photo”, choose an image, and Zerdly turns it into a private jigsaw on the spot. The photo is resized and cut into pieces entirely on your device — it is never uploaded. There is also a built-in gallery of generated geometric, mosaic and space pictures, and a daily jigsaw that is the same for everyone.

Is anything uploaded?

No. The whole puzzle — the artwork, the pieces and your progress — is created and solved on your own device. Nothing is sent to Zerdly and there is no account.
