Tire Size Chart by Wheel Size
A free, browser-based calculator. Runs entirely in your browser — no sign up, nothing stored.
Rim size
Calculated reference sizes (original Zerdly data, generated from common width/aspect/rim combinations) — availability varies by market.
177 sizes on a 17″ rim
1152 reference sizes in the library.
How to use this calculator
- Pick a rim size chip (14″–22″) to list the tyre sizes that fit it.
- Search to jump to a width or aspect, e.g. '265' or '70R'.
- Each card shows the metric size, inch equivalent, overall diameter, width and revs per km — Calculate or Compare from there.
How it works
Every size is generated from common width / aspect / rim combinations and computed with the same tyre geometry the rest of the lab uses, then grouped by rim.
These are calculated reference sizes (original Zerdly data, not an availability database) — a listed size may not be made for your market.
Worked example
17″ rim. Lists sizes like 265/70R17 (~31.6″ overall) alongside 285/65R17 and 245/75R17 so you can see the equivalents on that rim.
Frequently asked questions
What sizes fit a 17 inch wheel?
Many — the chart lists the common width/aspect combinations for each rim. Whether a size suits your vehicle depends on guards, load and offset.
Are these the only available sizes?
No. They're calculated references generated from common combinations. Confirm a size is actually manufactured and suitable before buying.
Are these results safe to fit?
They're geometry estimates only. Real tyres vary by brand, load, pressure and wear. Always check the vehicle placard, manufacturer data, local road rules and guard/brake/suspension clearance, and get professional fitment advice before changing tyre or wheel sizes.
