Brand Guidelines Builder

Enter your brand colours the way you have them, as a HEX code, rgb() or hsl(), and the guide prints each one as a HEX code and its RGB values, with a swatch and the text colour that reads best on it.

Typefaces are listed by name with your licence note; no font file is put in the guide. The only images are the logos and examples you upload, and nothing suggests the guide is approved by Zerdly. It is made in your browser and is not uploaded or stored by Zerdly.

How to use the Brand Guidelines Builder

  1. Pick a layout: a compact guide, a logo-first guide, or numbered sections.
  2. Enter the brand name, a version and a short note on what the guide covers.
  3. Add your colours, your typefaces with what each is used for, and your logo clear space and smallest sizes.
  4. Upload logo files and examples of the brand in use, if you own them or may use them.
  5. Add do and don't rules, choose Create document, check the guide under View your document, then download the PDF and Word file.

Example

A bakery's guide: four colours, a serif for headings and a sans for body text, clear space of half the logo height, and four do and don't rules.

What it does not do

  • Colours are screen values (HEX and RGB). It does not give print (CMYK or Pantone) matches.
  • Typefaces are named, not included. The guide is set in Noto Sans.
  • The Word file has the text and tables but not the swatches or images.
  • Up to 250 pages and 500 entries in any list.

Documents are made in your browser and are not uploaded or stored by Zerdly. Check the finished document before you use it.
