Photo Observation Report Builder

Record what you saw where: each observation gets a fixed ID, a location, a status, a next action and the photos that show it. Add notes to photos and an action list with owners and due dates.

Every copy carries the fixed title Photo observation report and, on every page, the footer Non-statutory observations. Not certification, structural approval or a compliance assessment. These cannot be changed. It is made in your browser and is not uploaded or stored by Zerdly.

How to use the Photo Observation Report Builder

  1. Pick a layout: concise summary, photo-led record, or detailed report.
  2. Enter your report title and date, and if you like who prepared it, the scope of the walk and a logo you own.
  3. Upload photos, then add observations and tick the photos that belong to each. Add a photo note to caption a photo; it prints under the photo, and the photo itself is left as it is.
  4. Add actions with who, when and a status.
  5. Choose Create document, check the report under View your document, then download the PDF.

Example

A roof walk after a storm: OBS-001 a part-blocked gutter (open), OBS-002 a cracked skylight to monitor, OBS-003 a loose gate latch fixed on the day, and two actions.

What it does not do

  • It records observations only. It is not an inspection certificate, a structural sign-off or a compliance assessment, there is no field or layout for one, and the title and footer cannot be changed.
  • Statuses are Open, Monitor and Closed. The report counts them; it never concludes that anything passes, fails or complies.
  • Each observation keeps its ID when you reorder the list. Photos are printed as uploaded; notes go underneath, never on the picture.
  • Up to 250 pages and 500 entries in any list.
