Renovation Project Brief Builder
Write down what you want from the renovation, room by room: notes, the finishes you have in mind, the measurements you have taken with their units, annotated photos, your budget assumptions and what matters most. The builder sets it out as a brief you can hand to the professionals you talk to.

How to use the Renovation Project Brief Builder
- Pick a layout: concise summary, room by room with photos, or detailed brief.
- Enter a project title and your goals, then add rooms with notes.
- Add measurements with a unit for each. Leave the value empty if you have not measured it yet; it prints as Unknown: to be measured.
- Add finishes for each room, budget lines with their currency, and priorities. Upload photos and add a photo note to place a photo in a room with a caption.
- Choose Create document, check the brief under View your document, then download the PDF.
Example
A kitchen and laundry refresh: a 3,450 mm wall (± 10 mm), a laundry floor area still to measure, three finishes, a 25,300.00 AUD planned budget and three priorities.
What it does not do
- No structural calculations, engineering, permits, approvals or compliance checks. Ask a qualified professional about walls, wet areas, electrical and plumbing work.
- Every measurement must have a unit, and values print exactly as you typed them. Nothing is converted, rounded or estimated, and an empty value prints as Unknown: to be measured.
- Budget totals are simple sums of your lines for each currency. They are your own planning figures, not quotes.
- Up to 250 pages and 500 entries in any list.
