Quiz and Test Paper Builder

Write multiple-choice, short-answer and extended-response questions, give each its marks, and print a test paper with a name line and the total marks.

Turn on Shuffle to print up to four versions (A to D) with the questions and options in a different order. Each version gets its own marking guide, and the right letter always follows the right option. The student copy contains no answers at all.

How to use the Quiz and Test Paper Builder

  1. Choose a layout: low-ink, spacious, or a question booklet with a separate answer sheet.
  2. Enter the title and instructions, then add questions. For multiple choice, add the options and tick Correct on the right one.
  3. Give each question its marks; the total is added up for you.
  4. Choose the number of versions and turn on Shuffle. Keep the version code to rebuild the same papers later.
  5. Choose what to print: the student copy, the marking guide, or both.
  6. Choose Create document, check the pages, then download the PDF.

Example

An eight-question general-knowledge quiz worth 12 marks in two shuffled versions: five multiple-choice questions, two short answers and one extended response, with marking guides that give each version its own answer letters.

What it does not do

  • It does not mark answers or keep scores; the marking guide is for a person to use.
  • Shuffling uses the version code, not a secret: anyone with the same code and questions can rebuild the papers.
  • Pictures, formulas and tables inside questions are not supported yet.
  • Up to 250 pages and 500 entries in any list.
