Reading Log Builder
Choose the columns you want: date, book, reading time, minutes or pages, the day a book was finished, a reflection and a column for a parent's or teacher's initials. Your entries print in date order, followed by empty rows to fill in by hand.
A log counts one thing, minutes or pages, so totals and targets are never a mix of the two. Minutes can be typed, or worked out from a start and end time less any break.

How to use the Reading Log Builder
- Choose a template: a compact grid, a log with wide reflection space, or large writing spaces for young readers.
- Choose a personal sheet (portrait, with a name line) or a class sheet (landscape, with a reader column and totals for each reader).
- Tick the columns to print. Choose Minutes or Pages, not both.
- Optionally add a start date to print one dated row per day, and a daily target.
- Add any reading already done, or leave the log blank to fill in by hand. Adjust the row height and the number of blank rows for the print density you want.
- Choose Create document, check the pages, then download the PDF. The CSV download lists your entries.
Example
A class sheet for the week starting Monday 2 November: each child's books, reading times and minutes, a reflection column, initials for a parent, and totals for each reader at the end.
What it does not do
- A blank log has headings and empty rows only. Nothing is filled in for you.
- It does not track reading over time or send reminders. Each log is one document.
- Book covers and pictures are not included.
- Up to 250 pages and 500 entries in any list.
Documents are made in your browser and are not uploaded or stored by Zerdly. Check the finished document before you use it.
