Student Progress Summary Builder
Record what you have seen over a term or period: dated observations with an optional photo, the student's strengths and the next steps you plan. The builder sets them out as an informal summary to share with families or keep on file.
Every copy carries the fixed title Informal student progress summary and, on every page, the footer User-entered observations. Not an official school report or transcript. These cannot be changed. It is made in your browser and is not uploaded or stored by Zerdly.

How to use the Student Progress Summary Builder
- Pick a layout: concise summary, photo-led record, or detailed report.
- Enter the student's name, the period and, if you like, your name.
- Add observations with a date, where it happened, what you saw, a status and a next action. Upload photos and tick them against an observation if you need them.
- Add strengths and next steps.
- Choose Create document, check the summary under View your document, then download the PDF.
Example
A Term 3 summary for a Year 3 student: reading aloud with expression, fractions to follow up, and two next steps.
What it does not do
- It is not a school report or transcript. There are no grades, marks, scores, school names, logos or seals, and the title and footer cannot be changed.
- Status is Observed, Follow up or Resolved. It is not a level or a judgement of achievement.
- Check your school's rules on photos of students and on sharing written observations before you use it.
- Up to 250 pages and 500 entries in any list.
Documents are made in your browser and are not uploaded or stored by Zerdly. Check the finished document before you use it.
