Minimum 0
How to use this calculator
- Enter the litres of fuel on board and your fuel use in L/100km.
- Read the range in km and miles.
How it works
Range = fuel ÷ consumption × 100, so 60 L at 8 L/100km gives 750 km.
Worked example
60 L at 8 L/100km. = 750 km range.
Common mistakes
- Using best-case economy — real consumption is higher when loaded or towing.
- Running to empty; always keep a reserve.
Frequently asked questions
How is driving range calculated?
Range = fuel available ÷ consumption per distance. With 50 L at 8 L/100 km you can cover about 625 km — keep a reserve in practice.
Why is my real range shorter?
Load, speed, terrain, air-conditioning and headwinds raise consumption above the lab figure, so leave a safety margin, especially in remote areas.
