Practice question
Generating a question…
How to use this calculator
- Read the described image signature — its tone, texture, shape and pattern.
- Decide what feature it most likely is, then reveal the answer and the reasoning.
- Generate another to keep practising.
How it works
Photo interpretation reads several clues together — tone (brightness), texture (smooth/rough), shape, pattern, shadow and site.
The tool describes a realistic signature and names the most likely feature with the reasoning, so you build the habit of weighing clues rather than guessing.
Frequently asked questions
Is one clue ever enough?
Rarely. A dark tone could be water or shadow; texture, shape and site together are what separate them. Always read the clues as a set.
Is this official course material?
No. It is free study support mapped to surveying course levels — not official North Metropolitan TAFE content or advice. Always follow your lecturer and the official assessment brief, and check your own working.
