Web design for Fremantle small businesses

Strong photography and menus people can actually read on a phone.

Looking for a clearer website for your Fremantle business? Venues tend to have great photos, but customers mostly want three things: the menu, today's opening hours and a way to book. The photography should support those, not hide them.

Based in the Peel region, Western Australia, Zerdly creates modern websites for small businesses across Australia. Projects are managed remotely.

Your scope and next steps are agreed in writing before design begins. There is no walk-in studio, and no meeting is needed.

Illustrative example

An independent venue needs readable menus, current opening details and a booking route.

This is an illustrative website need, not a completed client project. It is used throughout this page to make the advice concrete.

Readable menus and venue information

A menu written as real text on the page loads quickly, resizes for any screen, works with screen readers and can be found by search engines. A PDF does none of these well on a phone. Here is a menu section as it would appear on the page.

Illustrative example

Example menu section (illustrative)
Section heading
“Lunch, 11:30 to 2:30”Real headings let people jump to what they want and help screen readers.
Dish
“Grilled fish, seasonal greens, lemon”Plain text: readable at any size and quick to update.
Dietary notes
“GF, V (supplied and checked by the venue)”Dietary information always comes from the venue, never guessed.
Price
“A$28”Kept beside the dish, so it is not lost when the page reflows.
Booking link
“Book a table (opens your booking provider)”Placed straight after the menu, where the decision is made.

A downloadable PDF can still be offered as a secondary option for people who want to print it. The page itself stays the main, up-to-date menu.

Working with a Peel-based designer

Zerdly is based in the Peel region and works with Fremantle businesses remotely. For a venue, that usually means sending your menu and photos, reviewing the menu layout on a private preview link on your own phone, and making changes in agreed rounds.

Relevant work from our portfolio

Real websites we have created. They are shown for the feature each one demonstrates, not as projects in this location.

How the remote process works

Everything runs in writing, so each decision is on record. Working times and milestones are agreed for each project.

  1. 01

    Send your brief

Complete the website brief online, download it as a PDF and email it. A short email question is fine too.

  2. 02

    Agree the written scope

We confirm pages, inclusions, price and a start date in writing. A 50% deposit books the build.

  3. 03

    Review a live preview

You get a private preview link and send each round of changes together, in writing. Two revision rounds are included.

  4. 04

    Approve and launch

Once you approve the preview, the balance is paid and the website goes live on your domain.

Questions from Fremantle businesses

Can menus be easy to read without downloading a PDF?

Yes. The menu goes on the page as readable text, and an optional PDF can stay available as a secondary download for printing.

Who updates the menu when it changes?

You supply the changes. The 30 days of support after launch cover build issues; menu updates are quoted at the published hourly rate and agreed before any work starts. If the menu changes often, say so in your brief, so it can be laid out for quick edits.

What should I prepare for a venue website?

Your current menus, checked dietary notes, opening hours, booking link and the photos you own. Mark any seasonal items, so the menu can be organised for easy updates.

The full terms are in our Web Design Service Terms.

Ready to plan your website?

The brief saves in your browser as you go, so you can finish it later. Builds start from January 2027. Start dates are confirmed after we review your brief.
