Web design for Halls Head small businesses

A professional public presence for a home-based business, without putting your home address online.

Looking for a clearer website for your Halls Head business? Running a practice from home brings a particular website question: how to look established and easy to contact while keeping the household private.

Based in the Peel region, Western Australia, Zerdly creates modern websites for small businesses across Australia. Projects are managed remotely.

Your scope and next steps are agreed in writing before design begins. There is no walk-in studio, and no meeting is needed.

Illustrative example

A home-based practitioner wants a professional public presence without publishing a residential address.

This is an illustrative website need, not a completed client project. It is used throughout this page to make the advice concrete.

Home-based practice privacy

Before any design work, decide which details are public and which stay in private correspondence. The table below is a starting point to adapt. Check any disclosure duties that apply to your type of business before you finalise it.

Illustrative example

Public website details versus private correspondence
TopicOn the websiteShared privately, when needed
LocationA suburb-level statement, such as 'Based in Halls Head, serving the Mandurah area'The street address, given once an appointment is confirmed
MapNo map pin on your house; a written service area insteadDirections or parking notes sent with the booking confirmation
ContactA business email address and, if you want, a business phone numberA personal mobile number, only if you choose to share it
Hours'By appointment' rather than open hours that invite drop-insSpecific appointment times, agreed one-to-one
CredibilityYour real qualifications, experience and an outline of your processAnything confidential about clients or past work

A business email on your own domain, such as hello@yourbusiness.com.au, goes a long way towards looking established without revealing anything personal. Email hosting is a separate third-party cost.

An illustrative site plan for a home-based practice

A compact Starter layout for a practitioner who works by appointment. An example only, not a client project.

    Home

Who you help, how you work and a suburb-level location statement.

  2. 02

    About and services

Your approach, verified qualifications and each service with what to expect.

  3. 03

    Book or enquire

Your booking link or enquiry email, 'by appointment' wording and a note that the address is shared on confirmation.

What you would supply

  • The suburb or area wording you are comfortable publishing
  • A business email address (or a decision to set one up)
  • Qualifications and memberships you can verify
  • Your existing booking link, if you use one

Features shown are standard website content; nothing here implies a custom back end.

Halls Head and Zerdly's base

Halls Head is a suburb of the City of Mandurah, inside the Peel region where Zerdly is based. Being in the same region does not mean face-to-face meetings: every project runs through a written brief, a preview link and written feedback, and there is no walk-in studio.

Relevant work from our portfolio

Real websites we have created. They are shown for the feature each one demonstrates, not as projects in this location.

How the remote process works

Everything runs in writing, so each decision is on record. Working times and milestones are agreed for each project.

  1. 01

    Send your brief

Complete the website brief online, download it as a PDF and email it. A short email question is fine too.

  2. 02

    Agree the written scope

We confirm pages, inclusions, price and a start date in writing. A 50% deposit books the build.

  3. 03

    Review a live preview

You get a private preview link and send each round of changes together, in writing. Two revision rounds are included.

  4. 04

    Approve and launch

Once you approve the preview, the balance is paid and the website goes live on your domain.

Questions from Halls Head businesses

Do I have to display my home address on my website?

A residential address does not need to go on the website just because it is common on business sites. Some types of business do have disclosure duties, so confirm what applies to yours before deciding what to publish.

What should I gather before starting the brief?

Your preferred location wording, the contact methods you want to be public, your qualifications and a booking link if you have one. Mark anything you would rather keep private, so we never place it on a page by accident.

Can clients still find me on a map?

A written service area works well on the website itself. Whether you also use a map listing elsewhere is your decision. A home-based business can usually hide its address on those listings, but check the rules of the service you use.

The full terms are in our Web Design Service Terms.

Ready to plan your website?

The brief saves in your browser as you go, so you can finish it later. Builds start from January 2027. Start dates are confirmed after we review your brief.
