Colouring Book Compiler

Add your own line drawings, one picture a page. With blank reverse on, every picture sits on a right-hand page with an empty page behind it, so colour cannot show through and each picture can be cut out on its own.

Pictures are fitted inside the margins and never stretched unless you choose Stretch to fill. Before a book is final, it checks each picture's printed resolution, how much a crop would cut off, and that the margins are wide enough for print-on-demand trimming and binding. Proof status shows the same book with those numbers printed on each page.

How to use the Colouring Book Compiler

  1. Pick a layout: Compact (the picture fills the page), Spacious (a Coloured by and Date line under each picture) or Section-led (numbered frames).
  2. Enter the title, add your line art and choose the page size, blank reverse, margins and bleed.
  3. Choose how pictures fit: inside the margins, filled and cropped, full page to the bleed edge, or stretched.
  4. Make a Proof to see each picture's resolution and crop, then switch Status to Final and Create document.

Example

A 10-page US Letter book of four sample outlines, each on a right-hand page with a blank page behind it.

What it does not do

  • Use only line art you drew or have the right to print.
  • Pictures are reduced to at most 1600 pixels on their longer side when added, so very large pages may need Proof status or a smaller page size.
  • Colours in a picture are printed as they are; there is no grayscale conversion or preview.
  • At most 120 pictures. PDF and project file only.
  • Up to 250 pages and 500 entries in any list.

Documents are made in your browser and are not uploaded or stored by Zerdly. Check the finished document before you use it.
