Place Card Builder

Add your guests by hand or from a CSV file, choose a card size, and get sheets of place cards ready to cut out. Each name is fitted to its card, down to a smallest size you choose and never below it.

Folded cards print the name on the front panel, and on the back panel upside down, so it reads the right way up from both sides of the table once folded.

How to use the Place Card Builder

  1. Choose a template: compact 85 × 45 mm cards, spacious 95 × 70 mm cards, or a calibrated custom grid for your own card size.
  2. Add the tables (a name such as Table 1 and an optional table name such as Banksia), then the guests with their table and seat. Or import the guest list from a CSV file.
  3. Choose folded or flat cards, the smallest name size, and whether to show the table and seat.
  4. To finish a part-used sheet, set the card to start at. Positions before it stay blank.
  5. Choose Create document, check the sheets, then download the PDF. Print at 100% (Actual size), cut on the dashed lines and fold on the dotted line.

Example

Ten guests at a head table and two named tables on 85 × 45 mm folded cards: six to an A4 sheet, Alexandra Montgomery-Fitzwilliam on two lines, each card reading “Table 1 · Banksia · Seat 1”.

What it does not do

  • Cards are laid out on A4 or US Letter paper. Pre-cut place card stock may not line up with this grid: use the calibrated template to check first.
  • Names print in the site’s plain sans-serif font. There is no script or decorative font.
  • A name too long for two lines at your smallest size blocks the document until you shorten it; it is never shrunk further or cut off.
  • Up to 250 pages and 1000 entries in any list.
