Reading Journal Builder

Choose how many books the journal has room for and which review fields each page asks for: title, author, dates, format, pages, genre, a rating, a favourite line, thoughts and who to recommend it to. The journal prints exactly that many numbered review slots, and a book log that gives the page of each one.

Add reading goals with a box to tick for each book (or ten milestones for bigger targets), series you are following, and books you want to read. There are no pictures: no cover images are included, so the pages are plain and quick to print.

How to use the Reading Journal Builder

  1. Pick a layout: Compact interior (two reviews a page when they fit), Spacious interior (one a page) or Section-led interior (each part opens with its own page).
  2. Type a title, the number of books, and tick the review fields you want.
  3. Choose the rating scale: five stars, 1 to 10, or Poor to Excellent.
  4. Add reading goals, series and your wishlist if you like.
  5. Choose Create document, check the pages, then download the PDF to print.

Example

Books of the Year: space for 24 books on A5, two goals, one series of nine and three classics on the wishlist, with five-star ratings, a favourite line and thoughts on every review.

What it does not do

  • Up to 200 books and 250 pages in all.
  • Review fields print in a fixed order.
  • PDF and project file only.
  • Up to 250 pages and 500 entries in any list.

Documents are made in your browser and are not uploaded or stored by Zerdly. Check the finished document before you use it.
