Training Session Plan Builder

List the drills for a session, from the warm-up to the cool-down, with the minutes for each. The plan prints a timeline with each drill's start and end, and checks that the drills fit the session: spare minutes are printed as unplanned time, and drills that run over stop the document being created.

Draw a simple diagram for any drill on a plain field, court or training grid, placing players, opponents, cones, balls, goals and pass, run or dribble arrows by position. Each diagram prints beside its own drill's instructions and never on a different page from them.

How to use the Training Session Plan Builder

  1. Choose a template: a compact plan, a plan with coach-notes lines after each drill, or session cards with large type, two to a page.
  2. Enter the sport, the session title and length, and optionally the squad, date and start time.
  3. Add the drills in order with their minutes and instructions. Lines starting with a dash become bullet points.
  4. Add diagrams: choose a surface, then add items with their position across and down the area, from 0 to 100. Pick the diagram on each drill that uses it.
  5. List the equipment, add session notes, then choose Create document and download the PDF or the CSV of the timeline.

Example

A 60-minute Under 11s football session starting at 17:30: a 10-minute warm-up, a passing square with its grid diagram, a 3 v 2 to goal on a half field with dribble, run and pass arrows, and a cool-down. The timeline shows 17:30 to 18:30 and the drills add up exactly.

What it does not do

  • Field markings are simple generic drawings, not to any governing body's dimensions. No league, club or competition logo is included or offered.
  • The plan does not judge whether a drill is safe or suitable for your players.
  • Diagram items are placed by numbers, not by dragging.
  • Up to 250 pages and 500 entries in any list.
