How to use this calculator
- Run through the list before heading to site — PPE, sun and hydration, safety items and documents.
- Tick what you have packed; the outstanding list shows what's still missing.
- Always follow your own site's SWMS, induction and supervisor's direction.
How it works
Survey fieldwork happens on active construction, mine and roadside sites, so a consistent pre-field check of protective equipment and safety items reduces the chance of being caught out.
The list is a study and habit-building aid grouped into PPE, sun/hydration, safety items and site documents — not a replacement for your site's safe-work method statement.
Frequently asked questions
Is this an official safety document?
No. It's a study-support prompt to build good habits. Your site's SWMS/JSA, induction and PPE requirements always take precedence — follow them and your supervisor.
Is this official course material?
No. It is free study support mapped to surveying course levels — not official North Metropolitan TAFE content or advice. Always follow your lecturer and the official assessment brief, and check your own working.
