Project and review scope

How to use this calculator
- Enter the title-block values as printed: title, job/drawing number, sheet x and total y, revision, issue date and its format, issue purpose, scale, datum, projection, author and reviewer.
- Set the requiredness profile for your client or authority — tick the fields that must be filled.
- Review the identity, sheet, revision, reference and authorship rows plus the separate geometric-content rows, then download the requirement sheet as CSV or print the record.
How it works
Validation: a blank required identifier, a sheet number greater than the total (or not a whole number ≥ 1), an undeclared date format or a date that does not exist in that format is an actionable finding that blocks “Ready for reviewer”.
Revision “0” is a valid revision and is never treated as blank. Values are text, so leading zeros and revision letters are kept as entered.
Bearings, areas, legend and north point are geometric content, reviewed in their own section — separate from the title-block identity fields. The tool never edits or reads a CAD drawing.
Worked example
Sheet 3 of 2. A plan entered as sheet 3 of 2 fails with “Sheet 3 of 2: the sheet number is greater than the total.” The same plan at revision 0 passes the revision check — 0 is a valid revision — and an issue date of 2026-02-29 in YYYY-MM-DD fails because that date does not exist.
Frequently asked questions
What has actually been checked?
Only what a person marked Verified, with the evidence they recorded. The field validation checks the values you typed; it does not open the drawing to confirm they are printed.
Can I use my own project requirements?
Yes. Use the requiredness profile and custom rows to match your client or authority. Add your own rows (they get stable IDs), and mark rows that do not apply as Not applicable with a reason.
Does a complete checklist prove the work complies?
No. “Ready for reviewer” is your declaration that every applicable row is verified. Plan acceptance is decided by the client or authority.
Why does revision matter so much?
Several versions of a plan circulate. Without a clear revision and date someone can build or set out from a superseded sheet.
Is this official course material?
No. It is free study support mapped to surveying course levels — not official North Metropolitan TAFE content or advice. Always follow your lecturer and the official assessment brief, and check your own working.
