How it works
A survey plan's title block is its identity — title, job/drawing number, revision, sheet, scale and date — and a plan can't be safely reissued or filed without it.
The checklist also covers the references (datum, projection, surveyor, client) and the drawing content (bearings, distances, areas, legend, north point) that make a plan readable and reproducible.
Frequently asked questions
Why does revision matter so much?
Multiple versions of a plan circulate. Without a clear revision and date, someone can build or set out from a superseded sheet — one of the most common and costly drawing errors.
Is this official course material?
No. It is free study support mapped to surveying course levels — not official North Metropolitan TAFE content or advice. Always follow your lecturer and the official assessment brief, and check your own working.
