How to use this calculator
- Run through identity, spatial reference, content and output before lodging a plan.
- Tick each item; the tool shows your completeness and what's still outstanding.
- Clear every item — and confirm the lodging body's own requirements — before you submit.
How it works
A submission fails most often on the basics: a missing datum or projection, no bar scale, an unstated revision, or a misclose left unchecked. This sheet groups those into one pass.
It's a study/QA aid that runs in your browser — it doesn't replace your organisation's or the regulator's lodgement checklist.
Worked example
Lodging a survey plan. Title, plan number, revision and surveyor are set; GDA2020 / MGA Zone 50 and a ratio + bar scale are shown; bearings, distances and areas appear; the misclose is within tolerance.
Frequently asked questions
Does ticking everything mean my plan will be accepted?
No. It's a self-check of common requirements only. Always meet the specific rules of the body you're lodging with.
Is this official course material?
No. It is free study support mapped to surveying course levels — not official North Metropolitan TAFE content or advice. Always follow your lecturer and the official assessment brief, and check your own working.
