How it works
The tip is the bill multiplied by the tip percentage: tip = bill × tip% ÷ 100. The total is the bill plus the tip, optionally divided between people.
Worked example
$80 bill, 10% tip. Tip = $8, total = $88. Split four ways, that's $22 each.
