To-Do List
A private, browser-based to-do list that keeps several named lists at once. Give each task a priority, a due date and tags, then filter (all, active, done, overdue) and sort by priority or due date. A progress bar shows how much is done, overdue and upcoming tasks are flagged, and you can drag tasks to reorder, print, or export a backup — everything auto-saves to this browser and nothing is uploaded.

How to use this calculator
- Type a task, pick a priority and an optional due date, and press Add (or hit Enter).
- Tick tasks off as you finish them, edit the title, priority, due date, tags or note inline, and use the filter chips and Sort menu to focus on what matters.
- Keep several lists (Work, Home, Errands) from the List menu. Use Print / PDF for a paper copy or Export backup to save or move your lists.
How it works
Every list is stored only in this browser's local storage, so it stays on your device — no account, nothing uploaded. Clearing your browser data or switching device won't carry a list over unless you export a backup file first.
The progress bar is simply the share of tasks marked done. A task is 'overdue' when its due date is before today and it isn't done, 'due today' on the day, and 'due this week' within the next seven days.
Sorting by priority puts High tasks first (then Medium, then Low) and sinks completed tasks to the bottom; sorting by due date lists the soonest first with undated tasks last. Manual sort lets you drag tasks into any order.
Worked example
How overdue is worked out. If today is the 16th and a task is due on the 10th and not ticked off, it's counted as overdue and its date shows in red. A task due on the 16th is 'due today' (amber), and one due on the 20th is 'due this week'. Finished tasks are never counted as overdue.
Common mistakes
- Expecting the list to sync between devices — it doesn't; export a backup on one device and import it on the other.
- Clearing browsing data, which can wipe the saved lists. Keep an exported file as a safety net.
- Not being able to drag tasks — reordering by dragging only works in Manual sort with the All filter (otherwise the order is decided by the sort).
Frequently asked questions
Are my tasks private?
Yes — every list is stored only in your browser's local storage. Nothing is sent to a server, there's no account and no one else can see it. The trade-off is that it lives on this device, so export a backup file if you want to move or keep it.
Can I set priorities and due dates?
Yes. Each task has a High / Medium / Low priority and an optional due date, plus tags and a note. You can sort by priority or due date, and the tool flags overdue, due-today and due-this-week tasks.
Can I keep separate lists?
Yes. Use the List menu to add, rename, switch between and delete as many lists as you like — for example separate Work, Home and Errands lists.
Is it really free?
Yes. Every Zerdly tool is free and runs in your browser with no sign-up, and this one works offline.
Can I use this to-do list without an account or login?
Yes. There's no account, no login and no download — it runs entirely in your browser and your tasks are saved only on this device. Export a backup file if you want to move them to another device.
Does the to-do list work offline?
Yes. Once the page has loaded it works without an internet connection, and you can add it to your home screen from the browser menu to use it like an app.
