Transmittal
Drawing issue transmittal
How to use this calculator
- Enter the transmittal header — project, number, to/from, date and purpose of issue.
- List each drawing issued with its revision, title and status (For Construction, For Review, etc.).
- Copy or download the transmittal to send with the drawings.
How it works
It lays out a clear record of exactly which drawings and revisions were issued, to whom and why — the paper trail that prevents someone building from a superseded sheet.
Pair it with a revision register so each drawing's history and each issue are both tracked.
Worked example
Issuing two sheets. DWG-001 Rev B ‘Surface plan’ For Construction and DWG-002 Rev A ‘Cross sections’ For Review, under transmittal T-001.
Frequently asked questions
What's the difference from a revision register?
A revision register tracks one drawing's change history over time; a transmittal records a single issue event — the set of drawings sent on a given date and why.
Is this official course material?
No. It is free study support mapped to surveying course levels — not official North Metropolitan TAFE content or advice. Always follow your lecturer and the official assessment brief, and check your own working.
