Field First Aid Kit Expiry Tracker
Tracks first-aid kit stock and expiry dates from your inspection date — expired, expiring today, due soon or Unknown — with CSV and calendar reminders.
Project and review scope
A stock and expiry record for one first-aid kit at one inspection. It tracks dates and quantities you enter; it does not assess whether any item or medicine is suitable, give first-aid or medical advice, or replace your workplace first-aid policy.
Kit inventory and expiry
Status is worked out from the inspection date in the project details — not from this device's clock. A blank expiry is shown as Unknown. For a month-only date (YYYY-MM) the last day of that month is used unless the packaging says otherwise.
Nothing recorded yet.
Reminders are all-day events on each expiry, added to your own calendar app. Nothing is scheduled on a server.
- Note: No items recorded yet. Add each item with its batch, quantities and expiry.
Review status: Not reviewed
Review progress 0 of 15 applicable rows verified (0%)

How to use this calculator
- Enter the kit ID and location, the inspection date and your policy reference. Choose a lead time — how many days before expiry you want a warning.
- Add each item with its batch, quantity, required quantity and expiry — a full date, a month only, or “No expiry”. You can also import an inventory CSV.
- Read the inventory sorted by urgency, download the inventory CSV or calendar reminders (.ics), work through the kit rows, and choose Save on this device if you want it kept in this browser.
How it works
Status is worked out from the inspection date you enter, never the device clock, using whole calendar days: expiry before the inspection date is Expired, the same day is Expiring today, within your lead time is Due within N days, and later is OK. A blank expiry is Unknown, not current.
A month-only expiry such as 2026-11 is treated as the last day of that month (2026-11-30) unless the packaging says otherwise. Quantities below the required quantity are listed as short.
Expired, expiring-today, short and Unknown-expiry items block “Ready for reviewer”. This tracks stock and dates only — it does not assess whether any item or medicine is suitable, give first-aid advice or replace your workplace first-aid policy.
Worked example
Inspection on 10 October 2026, 30-day lead time. Saline expiring 2026-10-09 is Expired. Burn gel expiring 2026-10-10 is Expiring today. Dressings marked 2026-11 (month only) are taken as 2026-11-30 — 51 days away, so OK. Eye wash with no expiry recorded is Unknown, and the record stays Action required until it is filled in or marked No expiry.
Frequently asked questions
What has actually been checked?
Only what a person marked Verified, with the evidence they recorded — the inventory status is worked out only from the dates and quantities you typed. Everything else stays Not started, Action required or Unknown — the checklist never marks a row as checked on its own.
Can I use my own project requirements?
Yes. Set your own lead time and required quantities from your kit contents list and workplace policy. Add your own rows (they get stable IDs), and mark rows that do not apply as N/A with a reason — an N/A without a reason still counts as unresolved.
Does a complete checklist prove the work complies?
No. “Ready for reviewer” is your declaration that the applicable rows are verified and nothing critical is open. It does not assess medicine suitability or replace your workplace first-aid policy or a trained first-aider's judgement.
Is this official course material?
No. It is free study support mapped to surveying course levels — not official North Metropolitan TAFE content or advice. Always follow your lecturer and the official assessment brief, and check your own working.
